Old Menomonee Falls Village
Classes with the new blacksmiths (Jeff and Pat) continue to be moving onward at OMF Village. We are meeting about once every two weeks and spend about 3-5 hours progressing in our bs sessions each building on the next. Everything starts with drawing out metal, learning the anvil, and building muscle memory. They both seem to want to move onward to tougher stuff after each class. I am glad to see the eagerness to challenge themselves with new objects to make each and every time.
Old Falls Village is a hidden gem in Menomonee Falls, WI with only a handful of building on a county road that most people just drive right on by. With the advent of a blacksmith shop as the centerpiece of their complex, this could propel them to the next level. Who know what great things Jeff has up his sleeve. I suggest stopping by on Saturday evening between 3pm and 9pm for the beer garden and folk music session. The local beverage comes from a different brewery and the music has been excellent. Say hi to Jeff and Pat who continue to hammer out their work as if their lives depended on it.
