Blacksmithing Classes

 

The National Curriculum is limited in its scope, and deals only with developing a blacksmith's skills in the forge environment. The lessons are exercises and usually criterion based rather than project based unless required for the Grille Projects.

Classes with the new blacksmiths (Jeff and Pat) continue to be moving onward at OMF Village. We are meeting about once every two weeks and spend about 3-5 hours progressing in our bs sessions each building on the next. Everything starts with drawing out metal, learning the anvil, and building muscle memory. They both seem to want to move onward...
